History Museum Roman

Founded on 1 September 1957, the museum holds over 150,000 items, mostly from excavations along the Siret valley (Văleni, Gâdinți, Săbăoani, Brad-Negri and others). The core exhibition fills 15 rooms of the baroque Nevruzzi House (Building A), with ceiling murals painted by Ludwig Branner in 1884 in three rooms. The Fălcoianu House (Building B) hosts temporary shows and a permanent room on the history of medicine in Roman. The museum has been central to research on Geto-Dacian civilisation at the Moldova–Siret confluence.
